in a gully, blue grey terete culms, to about 1.1m tall, seeds about 2 mm long, leaves not very obvious but I think there is one in the last photo near the transparent mm ruler

mmm, yes. Good point about possibility ( ? Probability) of being tereticaulis. Culm shape isn’t evident to me but looking again, colour is closer to tereticaulis.
