Checking this sighting by again working this new *Juncus ...* sighting through this Flora of NSW online PlantNet botanical key to *Juncus* spp. :

Appears on first look to ID to *Juncus planifolius* .

Yeah, cool, I thought I'd seen this before in Van Diemen's Land, I didn't know it also grows up here on the mainland.

Don't think there's enough detail to distinguish whether urophorum or laterale, but its one of them; tend towards the former due to spreading of branches and spikelets appressing to branches
