Status: Native

 

Size: Medium-sized species, averaging in most waters around 0.5–1 kg and 20–30 cm. Can attain 50 cm and 3.8kg

 

Description: Olive grey colouration. A moderately deep, elongated body that is laterally compressed .

 

Location: Found in coastal rivers and maybe occurs on the eastern escarpment. Stocked into impoundments on the eastern coast. It requires access to estuaries  to spawn.
