User's notes

This little puppy was in my lounge room. It was only about 9 mm long. I took some photos and then did some time honored photo taxonomy. The problem is that it looks like a Myerslopella sp. (Cicadellidae: Euacanthellinae: Sagmatiini) which are found in Queensland and Northern NSW (where I have never been), not the ACT. There are differences between the this individual and the only photo I could find, the Holotype of Myerslopella taylori (https://idtools.dpi.nsw.gov.au/keys/leafhop/species/myerslop.htm) This one appears to be brachytperous. The hind margin of the pronotum is also more elaborate. Is this just a juvenile of something more common? I did not realize that it would be so problematic, so when it hopped away, I did not chase it.

Sorry for the delay in reply - spines on hind tibia and antennae arrangement suggest a Fulgoridae nymph but I am not sure.
