I realise this is likely one of the stray sheep that has been roaming around Callum Brae for a while now rather than a feral sheep but there was no category for that. I'm posting in case it's useful for a ranger to know that one has died in the dam closes to the main car park gate.

Hi Mike, I have measured the area of the colony of Papyrius near the Namadgi visitor centre (the larger, hairy undescribed species) and it was around 60m long and 10 - 20 m wide, with GPS sampling points giving minimum polygon area of about 460 sqr m. Other sites are fairly commonly around 200 sqr m. So, yes, it is certainly possible that any sightings within 10 or 20 m are all the same colony. Cheers, Jon
