Hi All,

Hope everybody is having a good start to the year,

Michael Mulvaney and I visited Albury on Monday to meet with Environment Minister Sussan Ley in a meeting organised by Sam Niedra from the Albury Wodonga Nature Map.

We demonstrated the platform to Sussan first hand on her own mobile phone in a local nature reserve that she visits regularly. The group also provided a progress update on how the Albury Wodonga Nature Map has grown and is achieving great things.

We also had the privilege to meet a few NatureMapr power users who are doing really good things within the Albury Wodonga Nature Map platform (Amy, Chris and Kylie).

A big thanks to Sam for organising the meet up - it was really great to meet Sam face to face.

Over time, we hope to meet more of the NatureMapr community and projects in other regions.

I expect some mention of the meeting to be on social media soon.

Cheers

Aaron.

Thank you Aaron, Michael, Sam & everyone. It was good to see faces and talk with like-minded people. I think I bore my family and friends to death about finding a new insect or flower.

Let's hope Ms Ley is now even more motivated to implement all the desperately needed recommendations of the Samuel Review.
